Like my old submission 'Angst', I drew this while feeling intensely emotional, angry and depressed...yes, it was the day when my computer last died.

I love drawing whilst under extreme stress, I draw like a completely different person without any thoughts of proportion, neatness, style or prettiness and I can only really draw like a maniac and produce something like this when I'm extremely edgy and low.

In 'anguish' if you like.

Unlike my other relatively undistorted drawings of people, the figure in this had it's mad, expressive, huge features drawn first and then a facial outline and hair drawn on as a kind of afterthought...to make it look slightly human if at all.

It's done in charcoal, you can still see all my fingerprints on it if you zoom in to see it's full glory!
