SHINY PEOPLE

OH MY, IT'S THE SHINY SHINY PEOPLE!

Part animation, part mockumentary, 100% batshit insane. Done for my Fine Art universty course. What's it about? It's about lonliness and boredom, wanting magic and glamour in a dull and everyday life. And the whole tedious superficiality of it all, ho ho ho! Shown through tin foil voodoo transformations, my friends in funny hats and sparkly things moving about.

Basically, pretentious Fine Art crap to one side, someone makes some little tin foil people and they come to life and do strange things around the house and start being quite annoying and then they go away and there is a nice animation scene with some nuts and bolts dancing and erm, mating.

Watch and you may enjoy. And for more stuff like this watch the very silly COAL PEOPLE, the prototype as such. Inspired by everything from Twin Peaks to Svankmajer.

Want to do more stop motion using photographs now, think I'm onto something there and looking back these are probably some of my best animations, ho hum. Filming on location is not my strong point, it was a freezing cold day and I rushed it like hell. I also wish I'd put a soundtrack on it. Whoops, better luck next time I suppose.
