And what a happy film it was. So many smiling faces, so many cheery, hummable songs. It's one to take the kids to see.

The film has a great plot, it's a man is wronged, man meets woman, man kills man, woman turns dead man into a meat pie kind of film. Very uplifting. Sweeney is the hero of the piece, he enjoys revenge, revenge and singing about revenge.
I really enjoyed it, but with Tim Burton, bloody good actors, singing and pie I couldn't not enjoy it.

My favourite bit had to be the line "I'LL STEAL YOU JOANNA", sung many times by the sailor boy. I think he was going to steal her in the big bag he was carrying. What a lovely voice he had too! Here is my professional musical opinion on everyone's singing.
Johnny Depp: Looks like a pirate, sings like a pirate.
Helena I have many last names: Sounds like she'd just swam the channel.
(I'll steal you) Joanna: You warble like a 60 year old woman.
Toby: I CAN ONLY SING ONE SONG LOLOL.
Alan Rickman: 0_0Really liked the songs too, they were very fitting. But I can only remember the one about stealing Joanna.

I also went to Paris to see lots of art. Looked forward to seeing some Edvard Munch and it turned out to be a painting of a tree. ARGGHHHEEEEE.

Paris is quite nice if you like the occasional lovely building amidst a city that's basically a massive, filthy Nottingham.
GLORIOUS PEOPLE!

And finally, the barber with the joyous expression.

Yes Sweeney, your knives love you too.

To grasp this sorry Scheme of Things entire,

I loved Orsay! Wandered around it thinking "OH MY GOD, ANOTHER ROOM OF FAMOUS PAINTINGS!" with a gobsmacked expression. Good old Paris, I'll probably end up living there someday.
Perfume. Ah, I must see that film. Might end up licking the screen though.
